Turning a dilapidated rooming house into a beautiful, modern 2-family home
Working in collaboration with Hammer Design and Development, we found a way to bring a seriously derelict two-family back to life for a local developer.
We reworked the entire layout, moving the stair, raising ceiling heights, creating a fully open first floor, and cathedraling the master bedroom ceiling, and even found a way to fit an accessory unit into the basement!
Taking cues from the surrounding houses, this project relies on smart space planning and thoughtful touches, especially in the kitchen, to uncover all the potential of this house.
